I am Aleece—the attorney entrepreneurs and content creators hire to protect their business and secure their brand. I am passionate about helping you legally protect your business so that you can operate in your genius unbothered by the copycats.

 

I knew it was my place to be accessible to you so I left my security for your security. Allow me to explain. 

 

My career followed the expected trajectory: graduate from law school, pass the bar exam, get hired by an established firm, and continue the upward ascent to ultimate success. I was a managing office attorney with staff and corporate perks. I could pamper myself without a second thought and travel the world until my heart was content. From the outside looking in: this was “the life!” Although the security back then had its benefits, the truth is, I was overworked and completely unfulfilled. “The life” just wasn’t it and I knew there had to be more. I was so creatively uninspired. 

 

How did my true passion get sidelined? Early in my legal career, I worked with creatives in the entertainment industry providing contract, copyright, and trademark services. I really enjoyed that time in my career, but somehow the pressure and ideas of what I should be doing swayed me in a different direction. You know what they say about purpose: when it’s in you, it will find a way to come out of you.

 

So, I pivoted. 

 

Impassioned by the desire to fight for the legal protection of creatives and entrepreneurs, I took a leap of faith in launching what is now the Law Office of Aleece McKnight. With my experience in the industry, I’ve been able to ride in the passenger seat with my clients as they grow their businesses and expand their artistry. From independent artists and small businesses to content creators and managers, I work to put the right protections in place so that my clients can do what they love, knowing that their assets are secured. By choosing to create my own path, I can provide dynamic legal services to my clients without them having to break the bank to have access to an attorney.
